Glyphs is a word game based on Egyptian Heiroglyphics. In the heiroglyphic writing, each symbol stood for a sound, just like in the English alphabet. However, each symbol often was a picture of an actual item or action, and could be used that way, in the same way that a rebus is made in English. Vowels were optional.
The object of this game is to make phrases using the symbols on the cards. The symbols can either represent sounds or the object they depict. Creativity is encouraged.
The purpose of this web page is to share a little card came that I developed. I hope you enjoy it!
